Tao (or Dao) is an ancient Chinese wisdom,
intelligence, philosophy, spiritual law, cultural practice, and ethic with more
than 5000 years of written history. According to Tao teaching, Tao is the
source and the driving force behind everything that exists. Tao is also the
universal principle and the way of how everything is created and works.
Tao is one of the most profound wisdom, philosophy,
and practice that has greatly affected Chinese Culture and history. It also has
great impact to the world.
According to Tao tradition, everything and everyone
is made of Jing 精 (essence
of matter), Qi 氣(energy),
and Shen 神.
Shen includes soul, heart, and mind. Shen is about the information and consciousness of everything and
everyone. Physical science studies Jing
and Qi, but it does not deal
with Shen.
Physics has
excluded the study of spiritual phenomena for more than 300 years. Physical
science and the study of spirituality has been separated from each other until
now. This separation has contributed to make our world more segregated. A
physical definition of Shen will help unify the study of physical and spiritual
realm. It will lead to the unification of physical science and the study of
spirituality. The unification of science and the study of spirituality will deepen
our understanding about our existence and it will also have far reaching
benefits for the well being of humanity and our environment.
Tao Te Ching
is a fundamental text for Tao. It was written by Laozi, who was supposedly a
record-keeper during the Zhou dynasty (c. 1046–256 BC). Tao Te Jing presents profound wisdom and deep
insight about how the universe is formed, develops, and ends. Tao De Jing can
be considered as one of the highest philosophic book and practice to transform
all life.
In this introduction, we explore
to create a physics theory based on the philosophy of Tao, Tao Source Physics. We
find that Tao Source Physics can help solve several problems in current physics
at the fundamental level. It deserves the attention and further study by more
people.
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
